Mark Munoz will get a chance to prove he truly is one of the top 185-pound contenders when he faces grappling wizard and former division number one contender Demian Maia at the upcoming UFC 131 pay-per-view event scheduled for the Rogers Arena on June 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Despite his world class jiu-jitsu, Maia hasn’t secured a finish in over two years. After an electric debut that saw him capture his first five contests, the next five proved to be a bit rockier as the Brazilian went 3-2 with lopsided losses to Nate Marquardtand Anderson Silva.
