ABU DHABI – “UAE Warriors 43: Arabia” will take place Friday, August 25, live from the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi and will once again be a showcase event for fighters of Arabian heritage.
A special main event will feature a winner takes all champion vs. champion matchup between UAE Warriors Arabia welterweight champ Badreddine Diani (6-2, Morocco) and UAE Warriors Africa welterweight champ Wisem Hammami (7-1, Tunisia).
Both titles are on the line in this thrilling co-main event clash, being also a rematch of the 2022 contest which saw Hammami walk away the victory. Since then, Diani has won two straight including a successful defense of his Arabia title in his most recent outing against Abdullah Boushehri, while Hammami is returning from a 13-month layoff.
In the co-main event, Kuwait’s Boushehri (9-4) will face Egypt’s Adham “The Warrior” Mohamed (6-1) in a welterweight clash. A popular fighter in the region, Boushehri is known for his exciting finishes and owns an incredible eight first-round stoppages.
He was last seen in action losing a close split decision to Diani for the welterweight title and will be aiming to put himself back into title contention with a win over the in-form Mohamed. However, the Egyptian is coming in to make an immediate name for himself in what will be his UAE Warriors debut.
Also confirmed, the Brad Pickett trained Eman Almudhaf (2-0) will face Haiat Farag Youssef (1-1) in a women’s featherweight contest, Mahmoud Abd El Raouf (4-0) and Wasem Anwar (3-0) put their undefeated records on the line, KO artist Abdi Farah (4-3) collides with Maraoune Bellagouit (2-0), and the UAE’s Mohamed Al Katheeri (1-1) goes against Shehab Noaman (2-1) of Egypt.
In total, over a dozen Arab nations will be represented on the card. Please stay tuned for full fight card announcements.
“UAE Warriors 43: Arabia” will be part of another landmark weekend of international MMA action, as UAE Warriors 44 will take place the night after on Saturday, August 26 and will feature a host of top stars from around the world.
Russia’s Amru Magomedov (6-0) and Brazilian UFC veteran Alex da Silva (22-5) go head-to-head for the vacant UAE Warriors lightweight title in the main event while former bantamweight champ Xavier Alaoui (14-4) meets China’s Baergeng Jieleyisi (14-5) in the co-main event.
Both events will be available to watch live around the world on UFC Fight Pass and on Abu Dhabi Fight in the UAE.
