ABU DHABI – The biggest rematch in UAE Warriors history did not disappoint as Jordan’s Ali AlQaisi (13-6) and Canada’s Jesse Arnett (20-9) battled it out for the undisputed UAE Warriors featherweight championship in front of a loud Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The rivals went back and forth in a thrilling contest until AlQaisi snatched a hold of Arnett’s neck in a guillotine choke forcing an end to the contest in the third round. With this victory, “The Royal Fighter” now regains his title and his triple champ status.
Josh Togo (12-4) captured the vacant UAE Warriors welterweight title in the co-main event of evening. The Lebanese-Australian, who was the underdog going into the contest, scored a hard fought unanimous decision over Azerbaijan’s Tahir Abdullaev (13-2).
Elsewhere on the card, Brazil’s Iago Ribeiro (11-3) scored the biggest win over his career with a decision win over Titan FC champ and Dana White’s Contender Series vet Juan Puerta (23-7), Erkin Darmenov (11-5) caused a huge upset with a TKO victory due to doctor stoppage over top U.S. prospect Tyler Ray (10-3), and “The Butcher” Abdulla Al Bousheiri (9-3) emphatically submitted “Big Brother” contestant and “Road to UFC” vet John Adajar (6-3).
