Veteran TV producer Jerry Millen claims he is owed in excess of $50,000 by his former employer, M-1 Global. Since he said a year and a half has gone by and that he still hasn’t seen any indication that he will be paid, Millen has taken the liberty of trying to recover the funds by putting up the promotion’s master tape library for auction on Ebay.com.
I pay my bills and, when I make commitments to people, I follow through, said Millen, who served as a vice president for M-1′s USA operation and, prior to that, a vice president for Pride in North America. All I want to do is recover the money owed to me.
I understand M-1 is hurting financially, but not paying people for their work is inexcusable.
“Up for bid is 171 large mouth Sony HD Cam 124 minute tapes. These tapes have one pass on them and are in EXCELLENT shape. This is the only complete completion as they are the MATER tapes for M1 Global’s 2008 and 2009 season. These are the only copies in existence, there are no others any where. These are the MASTERS without any copies! You are buying these tapes as one pass stock ties and are only buying the physical video tape itself. This does not grant the license to the footage, but since they are the only MATER tapes:) I am selling these because of non-payment for production costs. Own a piece of MMA history M1 Global’s 2008 & 2009 MASTER library!”
“These tape retail at $135 each”
“Winning bidder will get a free autographed FEDOR glove.”
