TUF 16, also known as TUF Fridays, will debut Sept. 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX. Twenty-nine Americans, two Canadians and a Brazilian, ranging in age from 22 to 34, made the all-welterweight cast of 32.
The season, which is pre-taped, opens with a two-hour episode in which the 32 fighters will be pared to 16 in an elimination round. Then coaches Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson will choose teams for the single elimnation series.
Episodes will air for 13 consecutive Fridays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the TUF 16 Finale on Dec. 15, which will include Carwin vs. Nelson.
