UFC fighters are compensated several ways. There is a fixed amount to show and another fixed amount to win, usually identical amounts. Fighters also get Reebok pay based on tenure, for wearing the distinctive apparel during fight week and in the Octagon. Sometimes fighters get locker room bonuses of varying amounts; despite their name locker room bonuses actually come in the mail. And the most elite fighters get a cut of the PPV that can run into millions.

In addition, four $50,000 performance bonuses are given at each event. Usually, there is a Fight of the Night in which both fighters are given a performance bonus, and two performance bonuses to winners in two fights. “Performance Bonus” is a phrase for fighters that most made you say “HOLY F@#$ING $#!@.”

One of the primary differences between the UFC model and the boxing model is the depth of the card. Sometimes the best fights are all the way down on the UFC Fight Pass prelims, as was the case here, with the second fight of the night earning an extra $50,000.

$50,000 Fight of the Night

$50,000 Performance Bonus
Sara McMann
defeated Alexis Davis by Submission (Arm Triangle, Round 2, 2:52)

$50,000 Performance Bonus

defeated Elvis Mutapcic by TKO (Punches, Round 2, 3:27)
