Wrap Up Show – Herschel Walker. 01/13/10. 10:50am
Jon and Gary started the show talking about Herschel Walker. Gary said he came to them in an odd way. He said he had to call someone over at Showtime and the guy threw the name out to him. He said he pitched it to Howard and he thought he’d shoot it down. He said Howard was interested in the multiple personality thing so they had him in.
Another caller said Herschel was talking about his multiple personalities and how they’re just like acting differently at home and at work. He said that’s so far from what a multiple personality disorder is. The guy explained what it would really be and how he didn’t think he really had that problem. Gary said it did seem like he was saying it was more like just ”life” that he was talking about.
The caller said he thought that the Russian Roulette thing was crazy. He said maybe he was just trying to sell a book. The caller said he’d never do that to himself. He said he must have had good luck at the time. The caller said that he’s studying psychology and he’s learning about this stuff now.
Jon had Teddy play some of the interview with Hershel where he talked about being bullied in school. After that clip the guys talked about his work out regimen and how he just does push-ups and sit-ups every day. He does thousands of them every day. He doesn’t lift weights.
Jon asked Gary how he thinks Herschel will do in the fight. Gary said he looks like he’s good at anything he does so maybe he’ll do well. Gary said he doesn’t seem angry enough though. Benjy said there must be something going on more than they know because he did that Russian Roulette thing more than once.
