A trailer has just been released for the action thriller Mojave Diamonds (2023) starring Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, Chael “P” Sonnen, and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
The Plot
UFC superstars Donald Cowboy Cerrone, Chael “P” Sonnen, and Quinton Rampage Jackson star in this intense no-holds-barred action documentary. Cerrone plays Roy, a fighter who runs afoul of the Vegas mob and must run a $50 million shipment of diamonds to Mexico. He brings his G.l. brother Danny, played by Rampage, but the shipment is stolen by a rival gang, and brother Joe’s family is abducted as punishment. Now the three siblings must join forces to penetrate the mob compound and rescue their loved ones — no matter how many lives it costs.
The Director
Mojave Diamonds is directed by Asif Akbar, a Bangladesh-born, Cleveland-raised Angeleno. Akbar graduated from Barbizon Modeling School of Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 13, and from Columbia College Hollywood at 21. He has nearly two decades of experience directing and producing.

The initial reviews on YouTube were some of them, frankly, a little mean. A sampling is copied below, along with responses, in italics.
•PLEASE tell me Chael says I CAN’T LET YOU GET CLOSE at least once in this.
If there is a God, this will happen. Sadly, Chael P Sonnen doesn’t believe in God. And for the record, the P, it stands for excellence.
•If someone is hit by bullets and flies through the air that means the guy who shot him is also flying through the year. Silly.
Dork. What if the bullets are exploding? Or just laden with Chi?
•Interesting experiment. These are probably the biggest roles retired UFC Fighters have had? We’ll see who’s got the best acting chops if they have acting chops if at all.
There are great arguments for each:
Cowboy is coming off a co-starring role opposite Gina Carano and her twins;
Rampage is a veteran of The A Team, reprising the role played by Mr. T; and,
Chael P Sonnen, well, can you tell when he’s acting, ever? Winner – Chael.
•This looks so bad even Steven Seagal wouldn’t agree to be in it.
•This looks so bad I might actually watch it.
