Today the UFC announced an important lightweight matchup beteween Josh Thomson and the rising Michael Johnson at the July UFC on FOX event.

After his most recent loss in the UFC, lightweight Josh Thomson had considered retirement. Looks like he changed his mind and will fight in July:
Former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson, coming off a split decision loss to Benson Henderson in January, is looking to climb back into title contention.
That journey begins on July 26 when he meets No. 10-ranked lightweight Michael Johnson, who has won his last three fights inside the Octagon.
