Southpaw Darren ‘The Gorilla’ Till has never lost in 17 fights, and is on a three-fight win streak in the UFC. Till is coming off a Performance of the Night-winning TKO of Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC Fight Night 118, on October 21, 2017 in Gdansk, Poland. Now the UFC has announced that he will headline another international card, vs. Stephen Thompson, at UFC Fight Night 130 on May 27, 2018, at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.

Thompson meanwhile was closer to winning a title than anyone in league history. He fought welterweight champion Tyron Woodley to a draw in the Fight of the Night at UFC 205 on November 12, 2016. There was an immediate rematch, with Woodley winning a Majority Decision at UFC 209 March 4, 2017. He then earned a Unanimous Decision over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 217, on November 4, 2017.

There has been some bitter bickering on Twitter about who deserves the next title shot at Woodley. It could well be the winner of this fight.

Fights to date include:
Stephen Thompson vs. Darren Till
Neil Magny vs. Gunnar Nelson
Dan Kelly vs. Tom Breese
Elias Theodorou vs. Trevor Smith
Brad Scott vs. Salim Touahri

It is widely believed that former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping may have his retirement fight on this card as well.
