For the first time in 11 years UFC President Dana White missed a UFC. While White is an intense fan of the sport as well as the guy who runs it, his absence meant he watched the fight like the majority of us – on the TV.
The sport is different depending on whose eyes you see it through. If you are a fan of a fighter, you will see him fight with your own eye; the way a judge looks at it will be largely different. If you are a grandmother, it may probably be terrifying, as you are seeing it with new eyes, and these are not gingerbread men.
At UFC on FOX 3, White really did appear to sit back and cheer and complain, as a fan.
White’s Twitter also included the characteristic banter with fans – warm and friendly when they are warm and friendly, and not when they are not.
