Stamp Fairtex (10-2) is one of the most recognizable faces in combat sports today.
Her antics outside of the ONE Championship circle are only trumped by her dominance inside it, and she has endeared herself to fans across the world thanks to both.
The Thai megastar is busy preparing to battle surging South Korean contender Seo Hee Ham (26-8) for the ONE interim women’s atomweight MMA world title on Friday, September 29. But before she does that, we wanted to break down what makes Stamp the biggest star on the ONE roster today.
She is incredibly charismatic
When ONE Championship made its long-awaited North American debut in May, a healthy amount of the hype surrounded the promotion’s contingent of American stars like Sage Northcutt, Alyse Anderson, and flyweight legend Demetrious Johnson.
But when ONE Fight Night 10 went down, arguably the biggest crowd pop of the night was for Stamp.
The 25-year-old was a noticeable presence throughout fight week, and her signature “Stamp Dance” entrance electrified the sold-out 1STBANK Center in Colorado.
The fight itself didn’t disappoint, either, as Stamp dispatched Anderson with a show-stopping kick to the liver. The delight of the crowd was evident despite the crushing defeat of the hometown favorite – further demonstrating Stamp’s power to draw fans in.
She is world-class under any ruleset
Personality aside, Stamp is a fighter who can do it all inside the ONE circle.
With an impressive 10-2 MMA record to go along with a 64-17 slate in muay Thai and kickboxing, she is truly a multi-discipline superstar.
The Fairtex representative became the first fighter in ONE Championship history to claim world titles in two sports when she defeated American legend Janet Todd by unanimous decision to add the ONE women’s atomweight kickboxing world title to the muay Thai strap she had claimed just four months prior.
Stamp will look to make history again at ONE Fight Night 14, when she seeks to become the organization’s first three-sport world champion against Ham.
She is a social media machine
Stamp’s persona has cemented her as a social media phenomenon.
Some 647,000 followers eagerly await her daily posts on Instagram, with a similar number tuning in on TikTok, making her one of the most popular martial artists on both platforms.
Her incredible reach saw her embark on a seminar tour in the U.S. last year – a feat that would have seemed unthinkable for a female fighter from Thailand just a few years ago.
Demand for training with Stamp has even reached as far as Australia. She had a tour booked there for this year, but her upcoming world title opportunity forced it to be postponed.
