ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Chingiz Allazov retained his belt and cemented his status as the pound-for-pound king of the sport this past weekend at ONE Fight Night 13.

“Chinga” banished a ghost of old at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, when he outpointed Marat Grigorian in the headliner of the August 4 event, earning redemption for a loss he suffered against the Armenian star 10 years ago.

Allazov has faced some of ONE’s biggest striking stars in his five-fight winning streak, but here’s a breakdown of who could be next on his agenda as he looks to further his star in the Singapore-based promotion.

Superbon Singha Mawynn

A rematch with former featherweight kickboxing king Superbon Singha Mawynn could well be on the cards for the Azerbaijani-Belarusian sensation.

The Thai superstar rebounded from his shocking knockout loss to Allazov in January, with a highlight-reel knockout of No. 5-ranked featherweight kickboxing contender Tayfun Ozcan at ONE Fight Night 11 in June.

Victory over Ozcan completed the set for Superbon, who has now beaten every other fighter in the divisional rankings.

That feat may have cleared the way for the 32-year-old to try and regain the world title he lost to Allazov, but their match would have to wait until Superbon challenges Tawanchai PK.Saenchai for the featherweight muay Thai strap at ONE Fight Night 15 in October.

Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong

Superbon has his hands full for now, but another potential rematch might also be in Allazov’s future.

Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong has been compiling a winning streak since his defeat to “Chinga” in March 2022.

“Killer Kid” has won five of his last six outings, including two from two over the past 12 months against Mohammed Boutasaa and Eddie Abasolo.

Second-ranked Marat Grigorian had his shot at the title this past weekend, and top-ranked contender Superbon has his hands full with Tawanchai, so No. 3-ranked Sitthichai could find himself in prime position to challenge Allazov in search of ultimate redemption.

Tawanchai PK.Saenchai

Featherweight muay Thai king Tawanchai PK.Saenchai has his next fight booked in, but he is eagerly seeking a shot at a second world title, and Allazov’s throne is undoubtedly in his crosshairs.

The Thai superstar made his debut in ONE’s kickboxing ranks at Friday’s event, and he impressed from the start against Davit Kiria.

His final-round, bone-crushing knockout of the Georgian star sent a devastating message to “Chinga’s” division, and if he’s successful against Superbon at ONE Fight Night 15, Tawanchai will no doubt resume his charge at the divisional crown.
