One of the biggest events in ONE Championship history is set to go down this Friday.

That evening, the organization will make its premiere on Amazon’s Prime Video platform with “ONE on Prime Video 1: Moraes vs. Johnson II.”

From top to bottom, the event showcases the best that ONE Championship has to offer. That includes an MMA GOAT fighting in a world title rematch, an explosive muay Thai world championship showdown, a tournament’s semifinal bouts, and even a potential No. 1 contender fight.

Naturally, all eyes will be on the ONE on Prime Video 1 main event, as all-time great Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson will look to avenge an April 2021 knockout loss to current ONE flyweight world champion Adriano Moraes.

As we approach Friday night’s event, here are three fights to watch at ONE on Prime Video 1.

Demetrious Johnson vs. Adriano Moraes

Widely considered one of the best pound-for-pound MMA fighters ever, Johnson (23-4-1) has nothing left to prove. With that said, the former 12-time flyweight world champion is surely chomping at the bit to get back in the ONE circle with Moraes (20-3) after the Brazilian finished him in devastating fashion.

For his part, Moraes now has the opportunity to show that his second-round knockout of “Mighty Mouse” last year was no fluke.

More than just an intriguing matchup on paper, Johnson and Moraes bring the action. Both men fight at an incredibly high pace, have finishing ability on the feet and ground, and have a wealth of world championship-level experience.

Simply put, this is MMA of the highest caliber and can’t be missed.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs. Savvas Michael

Current ONE flyweight muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon isn’t happy with just one belt.

The Bangkok resident wants another, and he’ll take a step closer to winning the silver ONE flyweight muay Thai world grand prix belt if he were to defeat No. 4-ranked contender Savvas Michael in the tournament semifinals.

Rodtang is unbeaten across 11 muay Thai and kickboxing fights under the ONE Championship banner, and with each successive win, his mystique only grows.

While the Thai might be favored in this matchup, Michael has the reach, the power, and the technique to spring an upset. The Cypriot fighter displayed those skills against Amir Naseri in the tournament quarterfinals, winning a competitive decision.

Will Rodtang extend his impressive winning streak, or will Michael play the spoiler?

Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida vs. Kirill Grishenko

With a win over Kirill Grishenko (5-1), Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida (3-0) could find himself fighting for the ONE heavyweight world title in only his fifth professional MMA fight.

One of the most accomplished grapplers ever, “Buchecha” has looked nothing short of dominant in his three professional bouts, winning each by first-round stoppage.

In Grishenko, Almeida will be facing a former ONE interim heavyweight world title challenger and the toughest test of his young MMA career. The Belarusian wrestler has more experience, and he has the size and knockout power to pose a real threat to Almeida.

If the Brazilian star is able to get past Grishenko, and particularly if he is able to secure yet another first-round finish, he shouldn’t hesitate in asking for a world title shot.
