The Ohio Athletic Commission has issued suspensions for “Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey” which was held Saturday night. The Ohio AC suspends all competitors in an MMA bout for a minimum seven days. In addition, eight longer submissions were issued, four indefinite, and four for specific durations.
Miesha Tate: Indefinite suspension due to left elbow
Ronaldo Jacare Souza: Indefinite suspension due to possible broken hand
Roger Bowling : Indefinite suspension due to possible broken hand
Conor Heun: Indefinite suspension due to possible broken hand
Kazuo Misaki: Suspended 45 days to due a facial laceration
Alexis Davis: Suspended 30 days to due a facial laceration
Pat Healy: Suspended 30 days to due a head laceration
Brandon Saling: Suspended 30 days for precautionary reasons
In addition, four fighters underwent drug testing, and each came back clean.
Headliners Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate were each tested, and two other fighters – Kazuo Misaki and Paul Daley – were drawn randomly.
A fifth fighter, 29-year-old Bristol Marunde, had received a therapeutic use exemption for testosterone, and was subject to a test to make sure the levels of hormones in his system were not above normal. Results from this final rest are stil pending.
