Tate: I would fight Cyborg at catchweight if asked to
Miesha Tate: “That’s my job. I have to fight anyone they put in front of me and obviously I’m not scared of anyone. So yes, I would,”

Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino has signed with the UFC while competing for Invicta, with the goal of reaching 135. Justino has called out repeatedly for UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey to fight her at a catchweight. Rousey has repeatedly said it was 135 only.
UFC women’s bantamweight contender Miesha Tate did a UFC Fight Night 66 fan Q&A at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines, and was asked if she would fight Justino at a catchweight.
“That’s my job. I have to fight anyone they put in front of me and obviously I’m not scared of anyone. So yes, I would,” said Tate as transcribed by Jesse Holland for MMAMania. “But I heard Cyborg is signed to fight at 135, so I would prefer to fight her in my weight class. If they had a 125, I’d like to go down, but they don’t, so it’s 135 for me.”
Miesha Tate fights Jessica Eye on July 25 at UFC on FOX 16 in Chicago. Cris Cyborg fights Faith Van Duin on July 10 at Invicta FC 13, live on UFC Fight Pass.
