Lets start off with the fedor situation… Fedor contract had an option for both sides to just roll it over for one fight.. M1 global and zuffa where renegoiating after the loss to henderson… M1 global came in with the attitude we dont want pay raise or paycut same deal with co promotion… Lorenzo respects fedor and also a business man offered 500k for 2 fights no co promotion m1 walked and thats that… Fedor does have a contract with showtime as it pertains to him fighting exclusivly for sho sports not really a fight contract…
M1 global has been trying to get a 2 to 5 year contract extension with showtime and trying to get an investment of 10 to 15% ownership of M1 global both sides are in talks and of course the selling point is fedor to m1 global and shosports…
Im told zuffa will sign dan henderson next week and he is going to get anderson silva type money and some sory of announcement will be made very shorty this deal wont be hard to make from what ive been told…
The golden glory situation is a mess what dana has said is true but there are so many things that have not been mentioned with reem being impossible to deal with… GG holding out for money blackmail etc etc there blacklisted for the things they tried to pull not going to repeat myself there…
Everybody thinks strikeforce is dead and atm its not… Lorenzo has been restructing the companys payroll and assets to reduce the losses… There is meeting schedules over the next few weeks with showtime about renewing there deal with strikeforce…. Ideas being thrown around are making it a feeder show or a midlevel show Keeping it one territory like calafornia and chicago and slowly spreading it out…
Ufc fighters are going to transfer over to help with star power and a name ive been hearing is rich franklin… The company will proceed as planned no final decisions have been made dana wants to fold while lorenzo is trying to find a way for strikeforce to work and be a viable option… The problem folding strikeforce into ufc is taking over all the fighter ufc has enough fighters as is and i was told alot of cuts are coming but if fighters fold into ufc your going to see alot of fighters getting cut off of one loss as there is not enough spots to go around….
Lorenzo does not like the idea of giving competition alot of these fighters basically boosting another companys value…. Keeping strikeforce open has benefits of not losing fighters to other orgs and more shows to fill spots… Moving all to ufc is not what zuffa wants to do as there roster is already imploding… Strikeforce is not dead but you might see a new direction of where there going with the company and a new business plan… The talk of it dying is premature im told and a decision will be made my october 1st… Will keep updated with info as I hear it….
