On January 21 in Los Angeles, California at Bellator MMA 171, the best talker in mixed martial arts history, two-time title challenger Chael Sonnen fights Tito Ortiz. It has been two days since the announcement, and the trash talk has begun.
Chael P. Sonnen spoke recently with TMZ Sports and announced that Tito’s Rolls had been repossessed.
“Still famous and still rich,” began the Gangster from Oregon. “Thanks for bringing it up!”
“It’s nice to have that finish line. I’ve been in the gym, I’ve been working hard. I was sitting in the principal’s office for two years on a suspension, and those two years kind of went slow for me. … I’m excited and happy to have a date.
“Tito Ortiz two weeks ago had his prize Rolls Royce repossessed. If he could have got this fight in time, perhaps he could have preserved the car. But at the end of the day, listen, it is the Bad Boy vs. the Bad Guy.
“Tito Ortiz, one of the known faces in this sport, is taking on the greatest to have ever done it. Could you imagine the excitement – can you imagine if you are Tito Ortiz finally, not only do you get that match after 20 years, but you get to take on the greatest, the biggest draw, the highest paid athlete of all time!
“The one and only Chael P. Sonnen. And the ‘P’ stands for icon.”
Making it all the sweeter, Tito bit, responding with a photo.
The photo proves that Tito once stood in front of a Rolls while giving the finger. And it proves the Chael P. Sonnen is to trash talking what Rolls Royce is to automobiles.
Round 1, Sonnen, but don’t ever count out The People’s Champ.
