Ed Soares, manager to Anderson Silva, was a guest on yesterday’s ‘The MMA Show’ with Mauro Ranallo. Soares told Rallo that Anderson Silva mentioned in passing that the weight cut for this bout was very easy, although Soares didn’t know if he was joking or not. Soares did say the weight cuts seem to be going easy for the last few fights.
This conversation led to speculation from Soares that maybe indeed his client could fight in the welterweight division, which would be of huge interest to fans who have been clamoring for an Anderson Silva vs. Georges St-Pierre superfight.
