Two months after questions were raised about drug testing in connection with Bellator 138, Kevin Kimbo Slice Ferguson said he was visited multiple times by the event’s overseeing athletic commission in the buildup to his fight with Ken Shamrock.
They’ll show up at the gym and be like, ‘Pee in this cup,’ or I’ll get a phone call, Slice today told MMAjunkie. It’s cool, though. It’s all gravy. They want to make sure it’s a clean sport, because they’ve got these young kids that we’re being role models for.
Slice backed an official line from Bellator, which today announced that both headliners had passed pre-fight tests. At the start of a media teleconference, before any questions were asked, Bellator CEO Scott Coker said the Missouri Office of Athletics had passed on the news this past week.
