Denis Siver failed his drug test after UFC 168, testing positive for positive for human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and today received his punishment:

As a result, Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has fined him $19,800 and suspended him for nine months, according to a report from Mike Chiapetta. In addition, Siver will have his win over Manny Gamburyan changed to a “no contest.”

Siver first returned an “inconclusive result” when the original test results were released earlier this year (details). That prompted the commission to have the featherweight’s “B sample” tested for further analysis and it returned positive for the banned substance, made famous by baseball’s Manny Ramirez back in 2009.
