Anderson Silva will eventually have to stand before the NSAC and answer for his failed drug test, but it won’t be at least until August 7th:

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva this past week received a third continuance on his response to the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s complaint against him.

Silva (34-6 MMA, 17-2 UFC) has until Aug. 7 to submit a defense to multiple allegations of performance-enhancing drug use stemming from and out-of-competition test the NSAC ordered prior to his UFC 183 win over Nick Diaz (26-10 MMA, 7-7 UFC) at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Nevada Deputy Attorney General Chris Eccles confirmed the extension to MMAjunkie after a report from Brazilian MMA outlet Combate. Silva’s case was expected to be heard by the commission in March and May before the extensions.
