The first time was amazing, lets do it again! Mauricio Rua vs Dan Henderson 2 Sunday, March 23rd on #FOXSports1
Dan Henderson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua had a fight of the century candidate at UFC 139 on November 19, 2011. Now the pair will do it again, headlining UFC Fight Night 38 card in Natal, Brazil, on March 23.
The pair posed with a dromedary on one of Natal, Brazil’s famous beaches. The image won’t make it onto the fight poster, but it is more memorable.
Henderson appeared recently on MMAJunkie Radio, and discussed the fight.
Anytime you get a fight as good as that you want to see it again, said Henderson. If I had gone out there and knocked him out pretty bad and handily won, I wouldn’t have done it again.
I think a lot of fans want to see it, and I think ‘Shogun’ wanted to do it again, too.
I definitely wasn’t keen on the idea of going back to Brazil. It’s kind of tough to go that far, and just a lot of circumstances involved with it. I definitely like the Brazilian fans, but it’s a pain in the butt going over there.
I think he might change his tactics just a little bit, as will I. I pretty much think it’s going to be a war again.
