Jeff Sherwood and Josh Gross recently launched a new weekly podcast, available via subscription, called ‘The Outsiders’. Here is a sample of Episode 6 as Gross discusses Dominick Cruz surgically getting into Cody Garbrandt’s head ahead of their fight in the co-main event of UFC 207 on December 30.

Sherwood was particularly taken with Cruz’s comment that Garbrandt looked like PeeWee Herman in a tie.

The pair also argue that the sport is not yet as mainstream as some fans believe it to be.

And does Sage Northcutt deserve to be in the UFC?

The description at Patreon explains the show’s focus.

Everyone claims to be a mixed martial arts insider but few people actually are. Years before MMA was a hot multi-billion dollar business run by Hollywood power brokers, Sherdog.com founder Jeff Sherwood and respected journalist Josh Gross were as inside as it gets. So inside, in fact, they ended up on the outside. That’s why the MMA media pioneers have joined forces for The Outsiders, a weekly podcast taking dead aim at the topsy-turvy world of cage fighting as only they can speak about it. If you want fight analysis and technical breakdowns prepare to be underwhelmed—Sherwood and Gross can, of course, they just don’t want to. Instead, expect plenty of storytelling about the good old days and their candid thoughts regarding the most important and entertaining MMA news of the week.

Access to The Outsiders is just $3 per month, via patreon.com/
