Former UFC interim heavyweight champ Shane Carwin (12-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) meets promotional newcomer and grappling specialist Jon Olav Einemo (6-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at UFC 131.
UFC president Dana White today confirmed the booking during an online chat with “The Seattle Times.”
UFC 131 is expected to take place June 11 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Brock Lesnar vs. Junior Dos Santos headlines the night’s pay-per-view broadcast.
Carwin vs. Einemo is expected to be part of the PPV broadcast.
