Bellator MMA recently held a press conference in St. Louis to promote the Ken Shamrock vs. Kimbo Slice headlined Bellator 138 on June 19 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Afterwards Shamrock worked the mic like a master.
“The guy’s not even in a league with me, okay?” said Shamrock. “I started from the beginning, with bareknuckle fighting four times in one night. I won in Japan. I won in the States. I’ve got some friggin’ poser standing up here, trying to be a tough guy, showing no respect whatsoever. He’s a punk. If I don’t finish him in the first round, I’ll be disappointed with myself.
“What he did up was posing. There’s no way he steps towards me. None! The only way he steps towards me is if he’s got people standing in front of him to stop it. That’s the only way he gets tough – because there’s people standing here ready to stop it. If it was me and him standing here, I promise you, he doesn’t step forward. He stands there and he takes it like a stupid … idiot.
