Serbian promotion ripping off the UFC, Sapp tries harder than usual

Pablo Picasso famously said “Good artists copy, great artists steal.” However, another group that steals is thieves.

An event in Serbia is stealing:

They call themselves “Ultimate Fight”;

They fight with UFC gloves;

They use an octagon;

And the logo on the canvas is the original UFC logo.

They brought in Bob Sapp to headline vs. Dusan Panajotovic on Saturday night, and Sapp actually appeared to try some.

Bob Sapp would not be allowed to compete by any major Athletic Commission – he has publicly said he taps at the first sign of trouble, which is not fighting, it is tapping. The audience pays money with the expectation of a fight, something that Sapp generally does not do. He moves around, and when the fight starts, he stops.

This time though, he tried some, albeit with the usual ending.
