I figured before I started getting accused of “leaving UG forever” again I’d better make a thread.

As far as my fight with Morecraft goes, I considered making a troll thread blaming the low blow, the shots to the back of the head, the horrible referee, and the pressure of knowing I could be cut if I lose etc.

But the truth is I lost and I have no excuses. I was 100% healthy, I was relaxed and confident, and I didn’t get “caught” or anything else. Watching the fight, to me I looked hesitant to engage, and too slow in the transitions. I don’t really know why. It didn’t feel that way during the fight. Morecraft beat my ass. It happens.

To address a lot of the questions I’ve been asked:

I have no idea whether or not the UFC will cut me. I’ll worry about it if and when it happens.

The nut shot and shots to the back of the head certainly didn’t help, but that’s not why I lost.

I didn’t try to get out of the guillotine because I didn’t think I was in trouble. It didn’t feel particularly tight, and I’m used to being choked (insert gay joke here). When I woke up I thought we were between the 2nd and 3rd rounds and didn’t realize I had been choked out. But I was a little curious as to why I was laying on the mat between rounds.

It didn’t affect the outcome, but I can’t believe the ref didn’t back Morecraft off and stand me up when he stood over me looking at me doing nothing for 30 seconds.

I thought the crowd was pretty shitty in Seattle overall during my fight considering they were booing us 25 seconds into the first round for what reason I don’t know, and booing me 20 seconds after I took the low blow for not jumping right back into the fight. Apparently they’ve never been knee’d in the balls before.

Speaking of getting knee’d in the balls. I took just over a minute and a half from the low blow until I told the ref I was ready. Not the entire 5 minutes that I was allowed like I keep hearing happened.

Another great rumor I’ve read that could only originate on the UG is that I allowed myself to get choked and faked passing out so that I could get out of the fight. If I wanted out of the fight I would have tapped on the knee bar. Or acted hurt after the 3 shots to the back of the head. Or refused to continue after the low blow. Or just tapped on the guillotine. As I’ve said 1000x before I’ll say it again. YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME TAP. EVER. No matter what. I would never give the haters the satisfaction.

That’s about it, bitches. Holla (that’s what my black friends say)
