Scoggins out of UFC 201 with weight cutting issue
Scoggins unable to to make weight, pulls out early
UG favorite and UFC flyweight Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall has not fought since January 31, 2015. His opponent John Lineker missed weight, so the bout was at a catchweight.
18 months later another opponent had weight issues, and this time, the fight is not taking place at all. Just one day before Friday’s weigh ins, Scoggins told MMAjunkie that weight cutting issues were such that he decided to pull out of the fight.
Scoggins had previously indicated he might be moving up bantamweight. That is now certain. Scoggins had previously been ranked #13 in the division, while McCall is ranked t #5.
Jorge Masvidal vs. Ross Pearson is the obvious choice to be moved up to the main card from the prelims.
