Sarah Kaufman vs. Sara McMann had been scheduled for the main card of Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 27. However, earlier this month, Olympic silver medalist in wrestling McMann withdrew from the fight for undisclosed reasons.
Now MMAJunkie reports that Kaufman too has withdrawn, presumably because a suitable opponent could not be secured with so little time til the fight.
Kaufman will be rescheduled to a later event, and explained what happened on the UG.

I was supposed to be fighting on UFN Aug 28, however after McMann pulled out of the fight no other female stepped up to take it = no fight for me 🙁
I’m super disappointed as I was already peaking for the fight, but nothing can be done. I haven’t heard when/who I will be fighting for the UFC but I hope that it’s ASAP as I’m going crazy waiting!
