Rousey wants to beat ‘bitchey’ in Brazil
Ronda Rousey: “I’m going to beat this chick at some point and I’m going to put a finger down and you should be not surprised which finger is left standing for her.”

When Ronda Rousey beat #1 challenger Cat Zingano is 14 seconds, some fans had the feeling that no one was left to fight, except a man, or maybe three Honey badgers and a Mantis shrimp. However, Bethe Correia has cleverly positioned herself for a contender coronation by taking out the two available members of Rousey’s Four Horsewomen. Correira famously held up four fingers as Rousey’s posse does, and then dropped one finger.
Correia also engaged in concerted trash talk.
“She just thinks about herself, about making movies, dressing well, showing up,” said Correia recently. “I’m not gonna be like this, I’m gonna be a real champ. I’m gonna do something for the people. I’m gonna be the people’s champ.”
Now in an interview on Thursday on the Jay Mohr Sports radio show, Rousey said she wants to fight Correia, in Brazil.
“That’s what I want to do,” said Rousey as transcribed by Marc Raimondi for MMAfighting. “I want to go and fight her in Brazil and beat her in her hometown. That would be the best way I could really feel like I’ve vindicated my friends, to go to her hometown and beat her in her hometown and be total Rocky IV on it.”
“There is this young, up-and-coming Brazilian chick with an undefeated record that beat two of my friends and has been trying to rub it in my face. Pretty much trying to get in an argument with me, because when you’re in an argument with me, you’re suddenly more important. I guess this chick figured that out. Messing with mama bear is a very bad idea.”
“I’m going to beat this chick at some point and I’m going to put a finger down and you should be not surprised which finger is left standing for her.”
“Kind of hilarious that her name is Bethe. I’m gonna have a fun time with that name.”
However, Rousey is taking a break from MMA to shoot “Mile 22” with ko Uwais, star of “The Raid.” In the mean time, the UFC may well match of Correia with Jessica Eye for the #1 contender position.
