Rousey to Tate: Wait for me to retire
Ronda Rousey: “Her best bet really, for her career, is to wait for me to retire and then her and Holly Holm will probably end up fighting for the title.”

UFC women’s bantamweight Miesha Tate is uncertain about her future following being passed over for a third shot at Ronda Rousey. Tate was told he had the shot that instead went to Holly Holm.
In an interview with Brett Okamoto for ESPN, Rousey had some advice for her old nemesis.
“I think it’s an empty threat because to be honest, I have more miles on me than she does,” said Rouse. “Her best bet really, for her career, is to wait for me to retire and then her and Holly will probably end up fighting for the title. I think that would actually be a really good fight.
“I think her best shot is to wait for me to retire and it’s not going to take that long. I’m the one with all the surgeries and arthritis. So, I don’t know why she’s talking.”
“I don’t feel bad for her at all. She didn’t feel that I deserved a title shot when I got one (for the Strikeforce championship in 2012).
“She has already gotten more chances than anybody else.”
Although Rousey’s MMA career is relatively short, having stared in 2010 to Tate’s 2007, the champion has being doing the demanding combat sport of Judo since childhood, and undoubtedly has a number of chronic injuries at 28.
Rousey does not plan to fight after Saturday night until UFC 200 on July 9, 2016. She will be filming Mile 22 in January, in addition to handling more media duties than anyone in the history of the sport.
