Rousey near eerily prescient in October interview
“I feel like she’s going to try to like keep distance and keep far away from me and get me frustrated to the point I’ll make a mistake and she can try to kick me in the head.”

The hardcore fanbase mostly scoffed when then UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey appeared in October on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and described what could happen in her fight with Holly Holm.
She’s the type of fighter you have to be very, very patient with, said Rousey as transcribed by MMAjunkie. I feel like she’s going to try to like keep distance and keep far away from me and get me frustrated to the point I’ll make a mistake and she can try to kick me in the head.
But it’s not going to go like that. Not the way she wants.
The general feeling was Holm was not ready and that Rousey was just selling the fight. But it did of course go the way #ANDNEW champion Holly Holm wanted.
It may or may not always be true that “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall” (King James Bible, Book of Proverbs, 16:18). However, in this day and age, memes definitely follow it (see bottom).

Maybe they get it right in the rodeo, where they say “Never a horse that couldn’t be rode, never a rider that couldn’t be throwed.”
You never know what is going to happen in MMA, which is why you have the fight.
