Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion will guest-star on the NBC hit show ‘Blindspot’ on Wednesday May 3rd at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The television series opens with a woman (Jaimie Alexander) found in Times Square, naked, with amnesia, and zipped up in a duffel bag. Her body is fully covered in cryptic tattoos. The FBI investigates and the tattoos lead to a larger conspiracy and towards discovering the truth of her identity.

Rousey plays Devon Penberthy, a female prison inmate who grew up in a working class family from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and is serving time for transporting weapons across state lines. A release describes her as, “a tough, athletic woman who knows how to fight and handle a weapon.

Rousey herself posted a brief promo. “Quick promo for my @nbcblindspot guest appearance airing this Wednesday, May 3rd at 8pm/7c on @NBC,” she wrote.

This will be Rousey’s first role since her appearance in Drunk History on Comedy Central last year. She has appeared on the large screen in several films, including Entourage, Furious 7, and The Expendables 3. However, she had almost entirely set her acting career aside to focus on fighting. With her second consecutive loss, it is widely believed that Rousey is done with fighting, which presumably means there will be a notable increase in her roles in television and the big screen. She also recently got engaged to UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, increasing the belief that she is moving on from fighting.
