Rousey: I used to look at myself and cry

Wednesday night at 9:30 PM ET, Showtime presents a two-part behind-the-scenes All Access special on Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronday Rousey. Part two airs the following week, again on Wed at 9:30 PM ET.

“Today I have the ESPN body issue shoot, AKA Naked,” reveals Rousey to the camera.

“I’m gonna have to get over a lot of my, my issues. I’m cracking my knuckles thinking about it, God.

People don’t realize how bad my body issues were when I was a kid. I wore baggy clothes every day. There were days where I would like at myself in the mirror and cry, looking at myself.

“It’s just stupid the way that women, especially in this country, are just conditioned to hate how they look so they buy s—. You know? And its just wrong, and I’m proud of my self for overcoming that, and I think this shoot is going to be a great thing.”

“I don’t know, I feel like I don’t belong in my new lifestyle.”
