Rousey first communication since loss
“I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support. I appreciate the concerns about my health but I’m fine … I’m going to take a little bit of time but I’ll be back.”

Dethroned UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey offered her first public communication, via social networks.
“I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support,” wrote Rousey on Instagram. “I appreciate the concerns about my health but I’m fine.
“As I had mentioned before, I’m going to take a little bit of time but I’ll be back.”
Rousey’s nutritionist Mike Dolce spoke with reporters and expanded on the idea. s
“Ronda has lost before, she lost at the Olympic Games and I think that was a great test for her and look at how she came back, she came back a multi-time world champion,” he said, as transcribed by The Straits Times.
“So I will be expecting the same type of rebound after this.”
“We go back to the gym, we go back to the basics, we go back to what made her a champion in the first place which is just hard work, sacrifice, dedication and focus on being the best in the world.
“Last night was unfortunate but it doesn’t change the overall goal which is being the best athlete on the planet. We knew going in that Holly would be a tough test and she certainly was.”
“Holly is a great champion and you can’t take that away from her.”
Before anything happens, as Rousey noted, the former champion will take some extraordinarily deserved time off.
Last year Rousey published a New York Times best selling autobiography, with massive media duties. She also filmed and released multiple Hollywood movies, with massive media duties. And she had three title shots in nine months, each with massive media duties. The fights alone are beyond what most champions can do. And there are well publicized conflicts within her team, with her coach facing potential financial ruin.
She deserves a break from all of it and all of us.
