Rousey aims to be the highest-grossing actor in the world

Ronda Rousey, 27, undoubtedly engendered some fan whining by declaring she wants to be the highest-grossing actor in the world. However, she is an Olympic medalist in Judo, a sport in which the USA has had precious little Olympic success. Further, she is arguably the biggest draw in the UFC, a league the president of which had publicly declared would “never” let women fighters in.

Rousey is in three films being released this year, “The Expendables 3,” “Entourage,” and “Fast and Furious 7.” She worked filming around her camps, and even overlapped the two as necessary.

“I didn’t grow up wanting to be an action star. I just didn’t think it was in the cards. Now that it’s a possibility, I’m like, ‘Screw it, I don’t give a s—,” she began daintily, as transcribed by Marc Raimondi for FOX Sports. “If The Rock can become the world’s highest-grossing actor, I can have that same goal… I want to be the highest-grossing actor in the world someday.”

“I never aspired to be second. I was taught as a kid that you can do whatever you want in this world, so why not be the best in the world at it? Even when I was bartending, I wanted to be the world’s best, most efficient and charming bartender. That’s how I do things.”

Dwayne Johnson $1.3 billion

The Rock tops our list this year thanks to ‘Fast & Furious 6,’ which grossed $789 million at the global box office, plus ‘G.I. Joe’ and ‘Pain & Gain.’

Robert Downey, Jr. $1.2 billion

‘Iron Man’ was the top-grossing movie of 2013 but it didn’t earn quite as much as last year’s ‘The Avengers.’

Steve Carell $964 million

‘Despicable Me 2’ was the second highest grossing film at the domestic box office this year. Carell balanced that out with the indie ‘The Way Way Back.’ and “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.”

Vin Diesel $887 million

The most recent ‘Fast & Furious’ movie was the highest-grossing of the franchise bringing in $789 million at the global box office.

Sandra Bullock $862 million

‘Gravity’ but the film was also a box office hit, bringing in $632 million.

The Fast & Furious franchise put two actors into the top 5. Rousey has a role in the lastest Fast & Furious movie, plus the latest Expendables movie, plus Entourage, plus it being done in her spare time.
