Rouse, Browne announce engagement
Ronda Rousey: “I don’t know what goes into planning a wedding. It could be really easy.”

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and heavyweight Travis Browne have announced their engagement. The news came during an impromptu interview with TMZ.
The interviewer asked Rousey about the prominent rock on her finger and the fighter was initially bashful. She then looked up at Browne expectantly.
“Go ahead, babe,” he said. And Rousey broke the news.
“Getting married,” she said.
Browne explained the circumstances of his proposal.
“We were under a waterfall in New Zealand, and it just felt like the right place to do it,” he said.
The interviewer then asked when.
“Soon,” replied Rousey. “But I don’t know what goes into planning a wedding. It could be really easy. I don’t really want a lot. We don’t really need decorations or flowers. Just somewhere to go, somewhere to eat, and people around.”

It is widely believed that Rousey is done with fighting in the Octagon, and this is one further sign that she is moving on to other pursuits. Browne is scheduled to figth Aleksei Oleinik at UFC 213 on July 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
