Ronda Rousey rolls with Freudian slip
“I knew that If I came right in their face right away, oh, that sounded terrible. Oh my God! Not right away, I take my time, okay? You know what I mean, if I came…”

Freud·i·an slip
•noun
A Freudian slip, also called parapraxis, is an error in speech, memory, or physical action that is interpreted as occurring due to the interference of an unconscious subdued wish, conflict, or train of thought guided by the ego and the rules of correct behavior.
Ex: “For seven and a half years I’ve worked alongside President Reagan, and I’m proud to have been his partner. We’ve had triumphs. We’ve made some mistakes. We’ve had some sex … setbacks.”
-George H.W. Bush
Human’s are subject to Freudian slips, and UFC women’s bantamweight champion is no exception.
At the recent UFC 193 press conference in Melbourne, Australia, Rousey flew across the planet, and suffered a pretty good one.
“Holly’s not really the kind of person I can come at right away. The other girls that I’ve fought before do not have the kind of footwork and movement that Holly has. They weren’t counter punchers, so I knew that If I came right in their face right away, oh, that sounded terrible,” laughed Rousey, as transcribed by Submission Radio. “Oh my God! Not right away, I take my time, okay? You know what I mean, if I came…how do I say this right now? Rephrasing, I can’t really be aggressive right away because Holly’s a counter puncher and she has a reach advantage on me.”
Rousey remained a good sport about the gaffe, and posted a clip on Instagram
