The recording artist Eminem (real name Slim Shady) just released Shady XV, a two-disc compilation. One CD features a collection of Shady Record’s greatest hits, while the other offers new material from Eminem, Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D12, and Yelawolf.

The release’s title track contains a reference to UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey:

I got a Magic Johnson

It’s like a Magic Wand allows me to not let a blonde arouse me

If Ronda Rousey was on the couch with the condoms out

Holding a thousand Magnums at once to pounce me

I’ll laugh in response to how she dances and flaunts it around me

Her flat little badonkadonk is bouncing around

And all I see is Paulie Malignaggi, she’s slaughterhouse in a blouse

(2:34 mark)

Eminem is not alone in using mixed martial arts and associated arts in lyrics. Master rap lyricist and producer Ralek Gracie’s G-In-a-Gi also boasts some potent rhymes:

A G in a gi might start the party

But you don’t need a gi, all you need is Bacardi

Bring a CD and some Bob Marley

This s— could get heavy like tons of broccoli!

And Jersey Shore’s Vinny G(uadagnino)’s Hit A Milli is said here to be referencing fellow Long Islander former UFC lightweight champion Frankie “The Answer” Edgar.

V is for victory

I is for I’m innocent

double N, baby, because I am never negligent

the Y is for young

and G is for greatness

U is for my ultimate, ultimate statements

A for the ass I get

D for my douchebags

A I’m The Answer and

G I got you guys

etc
