TATAME caught up with Joe Rogan, UFC color ommentator since 1997, backstage at UFC on FOX 1, and asked him his thoughts on Junior Dos Santos striking the heavyweight title away from Cain Velasquez.

It was an amazing fight, said Rogan. Well, you know, he has briliant timing. He has great timing and great knockout power and he did exactly what he wanted to do. For him, it was the win with a perfect fight. He picked a spot, find an opening, landed and boom: that was it.”

I think if i was Cain Velasquez’s coach, if I would say, if he need some area, he should’ve tried to take Junior down, he should try to tire Junior out. But to try to stand with him… I think he overestimated his striking and Junior is one of the best, if not the best boxer in Mixed Martial Arts.”
