On a recent JRE, Joe Rogan discussed a great What If for the Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather boxing match on August 26. Mayweather is intent on breaking Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 record, which has cursed everyone who tried to break it. Thus despite some angling for more inclusive rules, this is a boxing match.

But what if McGregor kicked Mayweather in the head? Rogan and guest, stand-up comic, comedy writer, and actress Morgan Murphy discussed it.

That would be f***ed up,” said Rogan, as transcribed by Jed Meshew for MMA Fighting. “There’s probably some stipulations in the contract that say you can’t get him in an armbar or choke him.

And Conor McGregor has no desire to fight for free. Plus UFC president Dana White indicated there was language in the contract prohibiting switching rule sets mid fight.
