Rockhold: Title fight is ‘100%’ on
Fox Sports spoke to Luke Rockhold this morning and he was confident the title fight versus champion Chris Weidman was going to happen.
Last night Chris Weidman spoke to the media and revealed he thought his middleweight title fight against Luke Rockhold wasn’t going to happen. However Fox Sports spoke to Rockhold this morning and he was confident the fight was going to happen:
We spoke with Rockhold Wed. morning and the AKA fighter refuted the rumor, saying that there was “no truth,” to it. Though Rockhold told us that he and Weidman were not actually yet contracted to fight one another, conversations the fighter has had with UFC brass assure him that his next fight will be for The All-American’s belt.
“No contract, but I just talked to [UFC President] Dana [White],” Rockhold continued.
“It is 100 percent on.”
