The top-ranked middleweight recently signed a new eight-fight deal with the organization, according to a report on Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight.
Not only is Rockhold on board with the new deal, but UFC President Dana White informed the program that the fighter has been promised a big fight for his next appearance.
For those unfamiliar with UFC contracts, the eight fights simply layout Rockhold’s financial compensation and are not guaranteed. Likely with each win, Rockhold’s purses will increase but a losing streak could also see him released from the contract before the end of the eight fights.
