UFC middleweight Vitor Belfort was scheduled to appear on Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour, when his wife, who also manages his career, submitted a demand that no questions be asked about the off drug test results in September of 2012. These were done shortly before Belfort fought Jon Jones at UFC 152, sinking an armbar that appeared to come close to tapping the champion, before ultimately falling like the rest.

Helwani admirably declined the restriction, and Belfort pulled out of the interview.

Luke Rockhold appeared on Stephie HaynesThe Three Amigos Podcast, and said he was not impressed. Rockhold lost to Belfort back when The Phenom was the poster child for TRT in 2013. But the views he expresses are held by many.

“The guy’s living a lie and he’s trying to cover it up the best he can,” said Rockhold as tanscribed by Crooklyn for BE. “Ariel’s a solid reporter, he’s going to ask the hard questions and stick to his morals of the game. Good for Ariel for not adjusting to his schedule.”

“Not that I didn’t already know, it wasn’t a surprise. He’s juiced to the gills, the guy pumps up to 205 and looks bigger than everyone out there. No one carries weight like that and transforms themselves. Vitor has been dirty his whole career. There’s everybody else and then there’s Vitor. It’s a matter of how much he’s cheating, not if. There’s a lot of guys that cheat, and then there’s Vitor. It’s just another level, he’s just on everything you could possibly imagine, and it’s been that way since he was 19 years old.”

There will be more fromm the interview with Rockhold when it is published on Wednesday.

Luke Rockhold fights UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman at UFC 194.
