Roberto Soldic (20-3) made quite a name for himself on the European mixed martial arts circuit before he signed with ONE last year, and his legion of fans will be watching him when he takes to the ONE circle in the United States at “ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III” on Prime Video.

“Robocop” faces former ONE welterweight world champion Zebaztian Kadestam (14-7) at the Singapore-based promotion’s historic debut event on U.S. soil on May 5, and the Bosnian-born Croatian admits he’s feeling the love ahead of the crucial tie inside Denver, Colorado’s 1STBANK Center.

“This is history. I write history and legacy. I always try to give my best, and people have been supporting me a lot – the entire Balkan (region),” Soldic said.

“Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, many countries really support me. Germany, too, and Poland. I never forget Poland. They support me, and it means a lot. I really have the best fans.”

The former two-division KSW world champion is the product of humble beginnings, coming from the small town of Vitez, Bosnia.

He has risen to the highest heights in his martial arts journey but has never forgotten his roots and remains awestruck at the prospect of fighting in different countries around the world.

“It means a lot. Dreams come true – I said it many times. I am now fighting in the U.S. I fought in the Philippines, and I am from a small village. I cannot believe it, too,” he said.

Soldic’s highly anticipated ONE debut ended in disappointment at ONE Fight Night 5 last December, when an accidental groin strike from his opponent, Murad Ramazanov, left him unable to continue.

There were high hopes for him to put on a show that night, owing to the seven-fight winning streak he carried into the bout and his jaw-dropping 20-3 professional slate.

But the prospect of redeeming himself in front of a capacity crowd in the U.S. has “Robocop” excited, and he is ready to deliver on his promise to light up ONE Championship.

“The first fight (against Ramazanov), I didn’t like it. Everybody knows what happened with the groin strike. I was really sad that I didn’t show my skills. Now, it’s time to show my skills because I have a fight on May 5 in America,” Soldic said.

“I’m super excited to fight outside Europe, and to fight in the USA is one of my dreams. It’s a dream come true. I’m ready. I feel great.”
