RIZIN Fighting Federation has launched a new web-based series called RIZIN – CONFESSIONS on their official Youtube account. The first episode features 2017 Bantamweight Grand Prix winner Kyoji Horiguchi and his opponent for the finals, Shintaro Ishiwatari.

The documentary-style, English-subtitled series interviews the fighters a few weeks after the event while watching their fights. The viewers get to see some backstage footage along with the fighters’ thoughts during, and after each fight.

Kyoji Horiguchi reveals why the made the decision – alone – to leave the UFC and sign with RIZIN. His karate master was stricken with cancer, so he wanted to return home.

“He’s fighting too,” explains Horiguchi.

The insights continue in the compelling and inspiring episode.
