Despite a last-minute cancellation of their UFC 122 co-main event, Jorge Rivera and Alessio Sakara both received pay for the fight.

“Do we not take care of guys?” White asked MMAjunkie.com when questioned about their pay. “Jorge actually got both (his show money and win bonus).” Sakara was paid his show money, which remains unknown.

Rivera vs. Sakara was expected to precede the Yushin Okami vs. Nate Marquardt headliner, but as MMAjunkie.com first reported, Sakara was forced off the card just hours before he was set to enter the cage because of the illness.

Rivera vs. Sakara originally was slated for UFC 118 until injuries eventually forced both middleweights off the August card.
