RIP Sean O’Haire 2/25/71 – 9/8/2014
Former professional wrestler, MMA fighter, and kick boxer Sean O’Haire (real name Sean Christopher Haire) passed away in his home in Spartanburg, SC at age 43.

Former professional wrestler, mixed martial arts fighter, and kick boxer Sean O’Haire (real name Sean Christopher Haire) passed away in his home in Spartanburg, SC on Monday, September 8. The cause of his death was reportedly suicide by hanging.
O’Haire was a product of the WCW’s Power Plant and became a three-time tag teach champion in the organization. When the league folded, he went on to the WWE, where he spent three years.
While he was unsuccessful at kickboxing, losing each bout by KO in the first or second, he went right into top K-1 events, without any amateur or lower level pro preparation.
O’Haire went 4-2 in MMA from 2004 to 2007, with his most notable bouts being a win over Shungo Oyama, and losses to Eric Butterbean Esch and Olympic Judo silver medalist Min-Soo Kim.
At the time of his passing he owned a barber shop and worked as a personal trainer at Exzel Fitness in Spartanburg, SC.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a sister, Erin Alverson Haire of Spartanburg, SC; and brothers, Andrew Renny Lands of Spartanburg, SC, Shane Cecil Joseph Haire of Rock Hill, SC, Shan Ezra Haire of Statesville, GA.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday, September 13th at his home at 510 Hampton Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
