UFC welterweights Matt Riddle (5-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and Luis Ramos (19-7 MMA, 0-1 UFC) lost the opportunity to compete at UFC 141, but they did not lose out on a paycheck

In fact, according to UFC officials, both fighters went home with not only their “show” money but also with their win bonuses, as well.

MMAjunkie.com today learned of the promotion’s decision from sources within the organization.

Riddle vs. Ramos was scheduled to be the second fight of the Friday night’s fight card at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena and was slated to stream on Facebook. However, Riddle was ill throughout the day of the fight and was ultimately unable to gain clearance to compete.
